RIVER OAKS - James O. Elms, 85, passed away Aug. 13, 2022, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood.

James was born in Longview, Texas to Joseph and Grace Elms. He was united in marriage to Retha Moore Elms in 1957. He worked for various civil engineering firms in the Fort Worth area.
He was a member of the River Oaks Lions Club and served in many offices including president. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading mystery novels. He had coached both Little League and Colt League baseball.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his sons, Joe and Frank.
Survivors: Four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
