Gregory Hidden (282)

Gregory Richard Hidden, 71, of Colleyville, TX passed away suddenly on Monday, April 16, 2018. He will always be remembered as a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him. Greg was born in Fresno, CA on March 25, 1947 to Rick and Jan Hidden. As the son of a career military officer he travelled the world as a boy, making friends wherever he lived. He spent his high school years at the American school in Ankara, Turkey where he was active in the Boy Scouts, achieving Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow ranks. He spent his senior year back in the States and graduated high school at Mt. Vernon High in Virginia. Greg spent his college years at TCU, graduating in 1976. It was there that he met his wife of 45 years, Sharon. Greg and Sharon settled in the D/FW area where he made his career in the financial industry as an investments wholesaler for a variety of prominent companies. He was a consummate professional and earned his CFP. Greg retired from the industry in 2012. Greg had a life-long interest in politics and government and was always ready for a good debate on the issues of the day. He was a talented home cook, always up for trying new ideas and techniques in the kitchen and on the grill. After retirement, Greg developed a strong interest in gardening and was in the process of earning his Master Gardener certification. In 2012 he earned the official title of “Papa” to his first grandchild, Owen, and second in 2016, Kate. He was truly delighted to have partners in crime when it came to silliness and child-play. Greg was truly liked by everyone who ever met him.
