In Memory

Joseph Cosacchi (49)

Joseph John Cosacchi, 84, husband of the late Christine (Collignon) Cosacchi of Fort Worth, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at home, spending his final days with his loving family.
Born July 6, 1935, in Rye, New York, Joe was the son of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy Cosacchi. Upon his 1962 discharge as Chief Draftsman at the Washington, D.C. Headquarters of the United States Marine Corps, he worked for a time as an architectural designer and engineer for several well-known Architectural and Engineering firms in Connecticut. Joe left engineering to pursue his dream of teaching others and began a long and rewarding teaching career starting at J.M. Wright Technical School in Stamford, CT, as a Mathematics and Blueprint reading instructor for several years and on to department chair of Architectural Construction Drafting and Design at Platt Regional Vocational School in Milford, CT. from 1971until his retirement in 1992, when he and Chris moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where they spent the rest of their lives. Joe's hobbies included playing golf, target shooting at the gun range, traveling, reading and telling stories to any captive audience he could find. He loved nothing more, however, than spending time with his family. A person of great faith, Joe also spent many hours in prayer, and even more time treating others with kindness.
