I've known David for the last several years. We served together on the Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club board of directors where he was the club Secretary. His service to our club and the local competitive shooting community was immeasurable. He was also a great competitor, winning several national titles.
I always enjoyed talking with David. His wit and intelligence were razor sharp. However, it was always easy to take for granted due to his modest and generous personality. All of us who knew him will miss him a lot.

David and I at times had a difference of opinion on how to do things at the Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club. We lock horns a few times but there was never males in these disagreements. We always seemed to come out with a better plan. David was a very dedicated member and competitor of the shooting sports and Haltom City R & P Club. It was always a pleasure to talk to David and he will be missed by me and the members of our Club. I think the Lord needed a good engineer and organizer.

David Hassinger contributed significant portions of his available time and talents to provide a continually improving range experience for his competitive and casual shooting fraternity at our local club. He was a genuine servant leader that looked forward to opportunities to help others and he will be greatly missed!
