William Ousley

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - William Ousley, 77, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make out donations to St. Jude.

William was born April 9, 1946 in Martin, Kentucky to the late Toby Ousley and McLinda Ousley. He served in the United States Army, he was a part of the 3rd Armored Division, the "Tip of The Spear" first responders against the Soviets in the Germany. He was certified in military ground surveillance radar, and also served as military police. He was an avid member of the American Legion post 655, he enjoyed helping out other disabled vets when they where in need, and volunteered to put Flags for the Forgotten Cemetery in Haltom City, blood drives, and any events the Legion would be hosting. William enjoyed shooting, he worked at the gun range, and would go hunting and camping every year. William worked for General Motors Co. for 41 years as a proud UAW member.

He is preceded in death by one son, William Ousley Jr.; his parents, Toby and McLinda Ousley; and two siblings, Eddie Ousley and Judy Row.

Survivors: son, Clayton Ousley; companion, Henrietta Pilcher; cousin and "best friend", Gene Fraser.

WIlliam trained me as an Range Officer. I always counted on him for guidence. I will miss him especially on Thursdays at the range.
