Match Dates
1st Saturday of each month
Match Times
Matches will run concurrent with Hunter’s Pistol matches. Range will be
accessible at 8 a.m. for setup and practice. The Smallbore match will begin at
9:30 a.m., with the Pistol Cartridge Match beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Rules
Current NRA Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette Rules will apply.
Classification
The appropriate NRA Rifle Classification System will be utilized in matches.
There will be a separate class for unclassified competitors provided there are
three or more unclassified shooters present; otherwise, unclassified competitors
will compete in the highest available class. This match is open to all.
Entry Fee
Entry Fee will be $6.00 per person, per gun. Unclassified competitors and those
without a NRA Score Book will be required to purchase one from the stat office
for a fee set by NRA ($12.00).
Course of Fire
Course of fire will consist of fifteen shots at chickens (40 meters), pigs (50
meters), turkeys (76 meters) and rams (100 meters), for a total of sixty shots at
the prescribed distances, fired in five shot strings with a time limit of two and one
half minutes per string. Each competitor will score for the previous competitor.
Any competitor knocking down ten straight animals will be allowed to fire at the
conclusion of the match for long run records.
Awards
Awards will be given to the high overall winner of the match and to the winners of
each NRA classification, High Junior and High Woman. Awards will be given
provided there are at least three competitors in class. Any class with less than
three entries will shoot in the next higher class. The highest class of less than
three will compete for high overall only. High overall winner will not be eligible for
other awards.
