Mike was a joy to be around. He loved to share his knowldge of hunting and shooting. He served the club with distinction in almost every elected position on the board of directors at one time or another. His contagious smile and friendly nature will be greatly missed.

Milton Murray O'Neal January 28, 1937 - August 7, 2019 NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Mike O'Neal, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Mike was born January 28, 1937 in Locker, Texas to Murray and Donna O'Neal. He graduated from Riverside High School, before going on to earn his Bachelors degree from Lamar University. Mike had many careers in his life revolved around the medical industry. He worked as a lab technician, and was with Carter Blood Center as a phlebotomist before becoming a biomedical service technician repairing medical equipment. Mike was in the Army Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Mike was a life time member of the Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club since the 1960's which he served on the board of directors for many years. In the 1980's Mike won the Smallbore Rifle National Champtionship. Mike was heavily involved teaching gun safety courses, as well as being an avid hunter for his entire life. Mike's other hobbies included his love of sunsets, wildlife and floral photograph. He will always be remembered for his dedication to his grandsons and their yearly adventures on the family ranch. In the later years of his life, Mike was actively involved in his son's sailing charter business where he got to make lots of new friends and enjoyed sailing the waters of Grapevine Lake.

Survived by: Wife, Nan O'Neal; son, David O'Neal and wife Deana; daughter, Piper O'Neal; grandsons, Jake and Brian Hoskins; and numerous friends.
