Not just BB guns, the modern air rifle is capable of sending pellets down range at over 1,000 feet per second and accuracy, such as in the Olympics, that exceeds the best benchrest rifles. Matches are typically shot with .177 caliber pellet rifles.

Match setup begins after completion of small bore match. Match starts at 1:00
Rules
Current NRA Air Rifle Silhouette Rules will apply.
Classification NRA Air Rifle Classification System will be utilized in matches. Shooters are grouped according to ability and type of equipment.. There will be a separate class for ‘Unclassified’ competitors provided there are three or more ‘Unclassified’ shooters present; otherwise, ‘Unclassified’ competitors will compete in the highest available class.
Entry Fee
$6.00 Adult and $1 junior per person, per gun. Club members competing for their first time shoot for free. Matches are open to the general public, they are not restricted to club members.
Course of Fire
Fifteen shots each at chickens (20yards), pigs (30 yards), turkeys (36 yards) and rams (45 yards) for a total of sixty shots at the prescribed distances, fired in five shot strings with a time limit of two and one half minutes per string.
Equipment
All shooters, spotters, and helpers must have hearing and eye protection.
Air Rifle Classifications:
1)Target Air Rifle: Rifle designed for U. S. and International 10 meter competition. Use of scopes is allowed.
2)Sporter Air Rifle: Any unaltered factory sporter air rifle weighing no more than 11 pounds, with scope and mounts. Rifles limited to spring and CO2 utilizing 12.0 gram disposable units powered rifles.
3)Open Air Rifle: Any air rifle weighing no more than 16 lbs. with scope and mounts.
Don't worry about equipment, just come shoot. The overly die hard air rifle fanatics typically bring more than one rifle and are happy to share their addiction/dedication to this sport.
